GROW Connects: How to Use Canva for Your Design Work

What is Canva? Canva is a free graphic design tool website. Canva provides a simple, new way to design beautiful and professional graphics allowing you to take your vision or message and translate it into a design.
This workshop is designed for businesses that need to explore how to create and design their social media content. You will be guided through an in-depth tour of the user interface and learn all of Canva’s features and functionality to enhance your design skills and get your content noticed.
In this workshop:
Everyone will create a Canva account (if you don’t already have one)
Learn about how “search” works
Learn about layouts, backgrounds, and text options
Learn how to upload your own images into your Canva designs
and much more!
Meet your facilitator:
Sonja Jobson is a brand strategist & designer and the owner of Jobson Studios, a branding agency based in Grand Rapids. She works with small businesses to clarify their marketing message, style their brand, and connect with more of their ideal customers. She’s a StoryBrand Certified Guide and an active volunteer in the Grand Rapids small business community. When she’s not in the office, she’s spending time with her husband and two young sons, traveling, or reading the latest best-selling business books.
