Financial Strategies for your Personal and Business Finances, Financial Reporting and Analysis:
How to Run Your Business by the Numbers, and Navigating Business Banking
Cost: $60 for 3 classes

Pre-requisite: Intro to GROW

Recommended pre-requisite: Start Smart

You only need to register one time for the cluster. One registration pays for all three classes in the GPS series. Please register for the first class in this cluster.

Small Business Growth and Planning Series (Small Business GPS) is designed to provide participants the information and resources to write or refine their business plan.

1) Financial Strategies for your Personal and Business Finances, June 5th
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Facilitator: Sonali Allen,  Senior VP, Compliance & Community Development Officer at Mercantile Bank of Michigan

What is the connection between your personal finances and your business finances — and why is it important? Learn how personal financial statements, credit scores, and tax returns can affect your business.

2) Financial Reporting and Analysis: How to Run Your Business by the Numbers, June 12th
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Facilitator: Bill Evans

Understanding the financial side of your business can help you with effective strategy development, decision-making, and result analysis. Learn how to read and interpret your core financial statements to position your business for long-term success.

3) Navigating Business Banking, June 19th 
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Facilitator: Jack Keller, Commercial Lender at Lake Michigan Credit Union

Opening a business account is just the first step in developing a relationship with your bank. Learn what financial institutions can do for your business and what you need to know when choosing a bank.

Registration is non-refundable.

As event seating is limited, we regret that walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Please register to reserve your seat.

Parking will be available in the YWCA lot behind the building at the corner of Weston & Division (entrance on Weston). In addition, street parking meters are free after 5pm.

When arriving at the YWCA for your scheduled class, please use the building’s intercom at the entrance to gain access to the building.
